Mathematical Fallacy: Prove 0 = 2
Yesterday, my roommate and I were discussing on his friend's post for a proof that 0 = 2.
Really? Well, let's check this out and examine.
0 = 2
Step 1: 0 = (100 - 100) / (100 -100)
Step 2: 0 = (10(*square) - 10(*square)) / ( (10)(10) - (10)(10) )
*means 10 squared - 10 squared
Factoring out numerator through "Difference of 2 Squares" gives us:
Step 3: 0 = ( (10 + 10)(10 - 10)) / ( (10)(10) - (10)(10) )
Step 4: Using the distributive property into the denomator, it gives us:
0 = ( (10 + 10)(10 - 10)) / ( 10 * (10 - 10) )
Step 5: Thus divide out (10 - 10), gives us:
0= ( 10 + 10) / ( 10 )
Step 6: 0 = 20 / 10
Answer: 0 = 2
Haha...As we can see, it seems right. Where is the problem?
The problem is in Step 5, it is invalid since "division by zero" is undefined.
0/0 has no value and is this is called an indeterminate form.
If you carefully examine Step 5, it would turn out that 0 is equal to any number, which is very wrong.
Check this out using another representation of Step 5.
Equation. 1: 0 = (2 * 0) / (1 * 0)
Equation. 2: 0 = (3 * 0) / (5 * 0)
Both equation are correct but if using the invalid process in Step 5, it would be the same as:
Equation. 1: 0 = (2 )(0) / (1)(0)
Divide out 0 in the denominator
0 = 2/1
0 = 2
Equation. 2: 0 = (3)(0) / (5)(0)
Divide out 0 in the denominator
0 = 3/5
Now, we've seen where the problem is. :)

First Cents
Every journey indeed starts with its first steps. Every thing that we wanted in life oftentimes starts from small and humble beginnings and then from there, we never really know. It might and grow into more than what we initially wanted.
And this is where it all begins - there was this guy I know, who's been a nobody in the world wide web, but a person who believes he can write and who wants to earn big online from writing, blogging and working online. A blogger wannabe who wanted to share to the virtual community his thoughts and skills then earn while doing it.
He had some attempts but he failed yet he never stopped until he had made some achievements. He had finally decided on the kind of blog he wanted, learning from successful blogs, from reading and studying them. He gained some few reads and had his first followers, and then it was really happiness for him.
The next goal he had was to know how to earn from it. He had some failed tries until he had successfully came across with Infolinks and earned his first cents. And I saw it, the reports and how he was so happy that for a long time hoping, he finally had his first cents online. And he knew it doesn't end here. Now his making this post, trying his luck to earn. But then again, he wanted to say thank you to Infolinks for realizing a long time dream of earning online. The setup was easy and fast, yet he knows that he has to do more work to perform better and earn better someday but his taking his first steps and he thinks he has taken the right steps.
However, he been really so happy earning his first cents and his grateful. Good luck! :)

SULITCOMBO30A for TM/Globe subscribers
Yesterday was the last day for SULITCOMBO15A promo period based from the last message I have received from TM. However, TM notified me through a text message about SULITCOMBO30A. I don't know if this is offered to everyone but the message says that it is exclusive for me. If you have received a similar message below, then you are qualified to avail with the promo. For those who haven't received this message, you can try and check if you can avail. The same as with SULITCOMBO15A, my prediction is that another promo notification might be sent once the promo period indicated is over.
Compared with the regular promos of TM I usually used like ASTIGCOMBO15A, SULITCOMBO15A is superior.
As indicated in the name, "SULIT"COMBO15A is indeed "worth it" combination promo of texts and calls.
Here's how to register:
1) Type SULITCOMBO30A
2) Send to 8888
To check balance, text TMREW to 8888.
Enjoy:
500 texts to TM/Globe and 120 minutes (2 hours) of calls to TM/Globe valid for 2 days.
(The promo period should be stated in the text message like Mar26-28 with a maximum of 2 registration within the time frame.)
Below is the content of the message sent by TM:
"Sulit ang P30 mo sa astig na call and text combo na exclusive para sayo! May 500 texts ka na, may 120 minutes pantawag pa, all to TM/Globe and valid for 2days. Kaya register na from Mar 26 - 28, text SULITCOMBO15A to 8888. Max of 2 registrations only. This is a free advisory. P527b-2."

Register SULITCOMBO15A for TM/Globe Subscribers
For more than 2 weeks, I've been using SULITCOMBO15A for my TM number. I think this should also work for Globe subscribers. It started when TM sent me a message for 7 days promo of SULITCOMBO15A. It was extended for almost 3 weeks now.
I'm not sure if this is exclusive for some users only for some reasons, but you could give this a try.
How to register SULITCOMBO15A:
1) Text SULITCOMBO15A
2) Send to 8888
Enjoy 100 minutes of TM/Globe calls and 300 texts to TM/Globe for 1 day.
Share the news! :)

World Heart Day - Good For The Heart
One World, One Home, One Heart.
Today is 2012 World Heart Day. This year, the World Heart Federation, in partnership with World Health Organization, continues to promote and widen awareness on cardiovascular diseases prevention among women and children.
According to WHO, cardiovascular diseases are the world's largest killers claiming more than 17 million (17.3) lives a year. This is the reason for this World Heart Day as the World Heart Foundation urges everyone to save the lives of the women and children that we love.
With the purpose of at least minimize some risks of cardiovascular diseases, these are their quick start tips in order to promote heart-healthy living:
1. Get Active
Even 30 minutes of moderate-intensity activity five times per week reduces the risk of heart disease and stroke.
2. Eat a heart-healthy diet.
A diet rich in fruit and vegetable helps prevent heart disease and stroke.
3. Say "no" to tobacco.
Quitting smoking and avoiding secondhand smoke reduces risk of heart disease and stroke.
4. Know your numbers.
Let's live a HEART-HEALTHY LIFE!

Help For The Victims Of Sendong.
It is heartbreaking to see, read and hear in the news about the devastation brought by Tropical Storm Sendong. Hundreds of lives were lost, children and parents, and many are still missing. To see the pictures and videos of our affected fellowmen, who wouldn't be touched by the pain and grief we can see in them. The best thing we can do is, in any way we can, help them overcome this storm in their lives. Let us pray for them and lend them a hand.
There are many ways in which we can send our help - goods, medicine, food and money.
In this time of their lives, they need us.
Let us at least help ease their pain and help them heal the wounds in their hearts.

3 Idiots' "All iz well" mania
The “Aal iz well” mania begun.
It all started on a summer day, together with my cousins, we decided to watch a movie as we would always do during vacations. We wanted a new movie, as we already have watched all the movies available at home, and luckily, my cousin said she has a copy a movie entitled “3 Idiots” from her friend. My first impression was maybe this is just the same with most of the comedy movies and I didn’t really feel excited to see the movie as I usually base my first impression on the movie title (for movies that I’m not familiar with). Yet that would totally change after the time I watched this movie.
The story, with the element of fun and drama combined with wonderful twists and turns, is really amazingly and wonderfully tied that you would never noticed that it was actually a quite long movie. You would never want to miss what would happen next as you go along the way. The feeling of excitement of what’s going to happen continually grows as scenes to scenes goes by. The twists and turns truly makes this movie a wonderful piece of a great story.
But more than the comedy and drama wonderfully combined, what’s more impressive that have made me love this movie (would probably make you too) are the lessons within the story. I have watched this movie 4 times already and yet from time to time it still feels good to watch it all over again.
The interesting fact.
3 Idiots is a 2009 Indian comedy film was adapted from Five Point Someone novel byChetan Bhagat and stars Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor,Omi Vaidya, Parikshit Sahni and Boman Irani.
3 Idiots has become the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time in India, breaking the previous record by Ghajini which also stars Aamir Khan.
I was quite surprise to know this since I am familiar with Indian movies but with the great story that it offers, I would expect that this was a big hit in the country it was born.
Now the “Aal izz well” mania spreads.
Since then, I am continually telling my classmates, friends and then my workmates about this movie and as I would expect, they also have loved the movie. And that’s when the “Aal izz well” mania around me started to spread =).
Aal izz well everyone! Thanks for reading this.
